Why I Love the World Cup. This article was money and pretty much described exactly how I feel about soccer and the World Cup. Before giving us his 10 reasons why he loves the World Cup, Simmons says, "Does this mean I like soccer? Of course not. I'm a World Cup fan, not a soccer fan." That's me. Anyway, his reasons are both hilarious and true.
Dustin, I think my favorite was actually #5, the "the postgame ritual of players exchanging sweaty jerseys". Please allow me to thank ESPN for giving us live "bonus" coverage of this ritual for about 2 straight minutes between Zidane and Figo after the France-Portugal semifinal match.
